Sometimes simple is better.
A beautifully understated mid-century set featuring a square powder compact paired with a miniature portable ashtray, both finished in warm gold tone with matching geometric checkerboard detailing.
Dating to approximately the 1950s, the set reflects an era when even practical everyday accessories were designed with elegance in mind. The miniature ashtray opens to reveal its interior cigarette rest, while the coordinating compact retains its classic vanity design.
The matching patterns make the two pieces especially charming displayed together a little snapshot of mid-century glamour and social life.
